Alexander Rossi’s innate racing talent has taken him worldwide, scoring wins in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, F2, World Series by Renault, and the 24 Hours of Daytona along with starts in Formula 1, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Baja 1000 and the Bathurst 1000. While growing up in Nevada City, California, Rossi began racing go-karts by age 10 and won multiple national and international karting championships in his first few years. At 17, Rossi moved to Europe with a goal of competing in Formula 1; in 2015, he made five F1  starts and was the first American to compete in the series since 1990.

Rossi returned home to the United States in 2016 to join the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Driving for Andretti Autosport, Rossi not only won in just his sixth career start but became an Indianapolis 500 champion. By winning the 100th Running of the 500-mile race, Rossi cemented his place in the history books. He was the first rookie to win the Indy 500 since 2001 and the first American rookie to win since 1928.

After spending seven seasons with Andretti, Rossi moved to Arrow McLaren for 2023 and 2024. He has never placed lower than 11th in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES championship and has not finished outside of the Top 10 in the point standings in the previous eight seasons. He finished runner-up in the championship in 2018, a year when he scored three of his eight career victories. In total, Rossi currently has 90 Top 10 finishes, 50 of which are Top 5s and 30 being podiums. Beginning in 2025, he will drive the No. 20 Chevrolet for Ed Carpenter Racing as part of a multi-year deal.

Outside the driver’s seat, Rossi co-hosts a popular podcast with fellow driver James Hinchcliffe called “Off Track with Hinch & Rossi” and has been a participant in the reality show “The Amazing Race.” As a participant in America’s Best Racing’s “A Stake in Stardom” initiative, Rossi has an ownership stake in a West Point Thoroughbred named Castle Run and often attends major thoroughbred racing events. He and ECR co-owner Ed Carpenter both have private pilot’s licenses and often fly to race events together in their shared plane. Rossi resides in Indianapolis with his wife Kelly and their two dogs, Brunner and Diane.
